MEXA Sal de Gusano is an Oaxacan agave worm salt made with toasted chinicuil agave worms, hand-harvested Oaxacan sea salt and dried Oaxacan chilies. This 1 kg bag brings a traditional mezcal accompaniment to your tasting table, cocktail station or kitchen.

How to use Sal de Gusano

What is agave worm salt?

Sal de Gusano is a salt blend containing ground agave worms and chilies, rather than plain sea salt. In this MEXA blend, the agave worms are toasted before being ground with the salt and chilies.

The 1 kg format is a practical choice for repeated tastings, entertaining and cocktail preparation. Contains insects; it is not suitable for vegetarian or vegan diets.
